- Criminal histories: contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation CJIS Division or use TORIS
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: call the Shelby County jail at 901-222-4700 or SCSO Records & Identification at 901-222-4944
- Official state checks: order through the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
